BEST PRACTICES:

  • Tool is HOT when on.  Do NOT touch tip with bare fingers.
  • Avoid using sprue cutters when detaching 3D printed parts, particularly fine and fragile parts.  For larger parts that are more robust, a rotary grinder/burr attachment (ultra fine) can be used to remove large sprue components (printing base) and then use TK639 for clean-up work.
  • Best used with tempered glass mat.
  • Use masking tape to affix stand to mat.
  • Carefully attach knife point and only tighten with pliers.
  • Let knife do the work, do not press hard.
  • Clean residual marks with 0000 steel wool; wear safety gloves.
  • Always turn off tool when not in use and unplug from power source.
  • For final part finishing, use ‘fine’ sand paper or file.
  • Always wear safety glasses.
